Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are officially moving on with their lives post-breakup.
In fact, months after The Valley stars shared they were separating after four years of marriage, they have given each other their blessings to start dating other people.
"We said that, going into this, that we could test the waters with other people if we wanted to," Brittany exclusively told E! News' Will Marfuggi and Carolina Bermudez during the June 4 episode. "I know that seems weird, it might be a little crazy for a lot of people, but that's what we wanted to do."
However, while Jax was recently spotted grabbing lunch with model Paige Woolen, the 44-year-old denied he had a new lady in his life.
"I am not dating anyone," the Vanderpump Rules alum wrote on X (formerly Twitter) May 30, "and I wish you all knew the full story of this situation.. its not what you think."
Still, Brittany remains unbothered by the speculation.
"We're definitely still separated," the Kentucky native—who shares 3-year-old son Cruz with her ex—told E!. "It's obviously hurtful to see other things and have to go through this stuff so publicly, but at the same time, as you see in the finale, I was pushed to this decision. I would never, never want to do this and have all this going on in my life if it wasn't absolutely necessary."
Speaking of The Valley's season one finale, Brittany confronted Jax during the June 4 episode over his hurtful insults that were the last straw, causing her to move out of their L.A. home.
"You're not just gonna get away with the way you've treated me for all these years," the 35-year-old told him. "You screamed at me, said horrible things to me. That I had no friends here. That nobody liked me here."
As for Jax failing to seek therapy for his anger problems, Brittany stands by calling him out during the episode.
"I really wanted him to focus on his mental health, I think that's very important," she told E!. "For me, it was a big deal to find out he had made an appointment the day before we picked up cameras because that wasn't genuine."
"He is working on himself in different ways," Brittany added, "but still, I knew he was not going to go to the doctor like he said in the episode. And I was right."
